Frosso Balaoura
Frosso Balaoura is the owner of “Panagia Prousiotissa” Private Schools – FABulous Greece. She belongs to the 3rd generation of leadership of the Schools, founded in 1957 in Agrinio, Greece. She is a graduate of the Department of English Studies at the School of Philosophy of the University of Athens and the Pedagogical Department of Primary Education at the University of Crete.
She has participated in European youth exchange programs (European Federation for Intercultural Learning, The Netherlands), European conferences (Forum 92/92, Academie de Versailles Ecole Normale des Hauts de Seine, “Enfance Education-Europe” France), seminars, and as a volunteer, she offered her services for three consecutive years to PEEP – Volunteer Programs for the Environment”, currently known as ELIX, where she coordinated groups of young people from all over Europe in Zagora, Dadia, and Skyros.
She has also been involved in literary translation. She collaborated with the magazine “Aiolika Grammata,” and some of her translated works have been published by Govostis Editions.
She has been dedicated to formal education since 1989, bringing a wealth of experience in teaching both the Greek and English languages, as well as literature. For over 30 years, she has been teaching in Primary Education at “Panagia Prousiotissa” Schools – FABulous Greece. As the Head of the Language Learning Department at the schools, she stays updated on all the academic advancements in language instruction and participates in the training provided by the Institute of Educational Policy, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education.
She has a keen interest in the use of New Technologies in education and takes care to incorporate contemporary digital tools into the educational curricula of Panagia Prousiotissa Private Schools.
Additionally, she supervises and coordinates School Vocational Guidance Programs for children and adolescents, in collaboration with distinguished experts and institutions. She has attended relevant training sessions, provided by the European University of Cyprus, Junior Achievement Greece, and the KEDIVIM Institute of the University of Athens.
Frosso envisions language learning as a conduit for collaboration, friendship, and solidarity, crossing boundaries to introduce new areas of thought. In this context, she systematically works on “FABulous Greece”, the innovative program of “Panagia Prousiotissa” Private Schools, which connects people from all over the world, through Greek language, thought, and culture.
She is a member of the Philotelic Association of Agrinio. She loves traveling and she is a level 7 guide on Google Maps. She is married and a mother of three children.
